YOG Opening Ceremony To Include Pole Dancing?

Now and then I discover little 'nuggets' of information that do no more than leave me feeling bewildered. This is one of those cases. It seems that an ex-stripper and pole dance teacher will be choreographing a part of the YOG Opening Ceremony in Singapore on August 14th!! Poles and all!!

"Bobbi" is the owner of Bobbi's Pole Studios and by all reports is set to take her trade to the world stage through this appointment. There will be twenty podiums and poles erected among the seating and the dancers will perform five metres above the audience.

Bobbi began her career in Sydney's red light district and left home at 19 years of age to work in a club in Japan. At 41, she now teaches pole dancing and has two studios in Sydney, another in Perth, one in Kuala Lumpur and also one in Singapore.

I, for one, will be watching with a very keen interest to see how her choreography fits with the overall theme of the ceremony. The mind boggles!!
