Largest Mall in Hong Kong? - Largest Shopping List in Asia!!

FROM: MY HONG KONG TRAVEL BLOG - 22 JULY, 2010

SHOP UNTIL YOU DROP

Well only a day now before we depart on the journey of a lifetime. I know my fellow bloggers have been scheduling their activities so that they have packed in every spare minute of every day. For me, I've got some selected key places and activites that I want to see and do (in the spare time available to us), but I've received a mandate for one particular location that I MUST visit while I'm in Hong Kong. You see, between our briefing at OMY last week with the Hong Kong Tourism Board folk and when we received the final itinery this week, my wife managed to get hold of the brochures - and would you believe the first page she opens to??:

"Harbour City", the largest shopping mall in Hong Kong !! So the obvious outcome of this, is that now I've been given the largest shopping list in Asia !!

In fact, this place seems quite incredible. With an area of over two million square feet (that's a 'two', with six 'zeros'), Harbour City boasts over 700 shops (including 50 food and beverage outlets), 2 cinemas, 3 hotels and an art gallery ('Gallery by the Harbour'). This is really for the diehard shopper...

"Situated in the hub of Tsim Sha Tsui, Harbour City offers a wide variety of fashion and trendy brands. What's more, flagship stores of different international famous brands are concentrated at Canton Road, providing customers with a one-stop shopping experience".

Famous Shop Highlights : Countless world-renowned brand outlets are housed at Harbour City, including BCBG, Bottega Veneta, Brooks Brothers, Burberry Boutique, DIESEL, dunhill, Prada; Flagship Store of Gucci, Hugo Boss, JOYCE, Lane Crawford, Louis Vuitton, Ralph Lauren, Salva tore Ferragamo, Vivienne Tam, Vivienne Westwood and YSL.

(I wonder just how much the ream of paper that forms the shopping list weighs? I'm really hoping that it doesn't create excess baggage for me)

Harbour City has about 700 shops, including 50 restaurants and two cinemas
