Don't Do Drugs - Interactive Special

Here in Singapore, it is no secret that there is a very tough stand on drug use, possession and trafficking, up to and including the death penalty. As a result, there are very few cases (comparitavely) each year in the island republic involving illicit drugs.

I have written on more than one occassion, that perhaps it might time to extend the focus to alcohol, given it is one of the world's largest killers and the drug responsible for most crime globally.

Unfortunately, Australia is one of the fastest growing hubs for drug trafficking in the world, according to a comprehensive UN report on the illegal trade. Thanks to an exclusive NEWS.com.au special, below is an interactive look at how the drugs are arriving there and what effect they are having on the city streets. Note that the interactive presentation also includes alcohol and tobacco.

Remember: SAY NO TO DRUGS
