Therefore i tried this tact and was taken to the same place a couple of times. I recommend you engage one agent and let him do all your leg work and running around. This will avoid confusion, time wasting &amp;amp; embarrassment for both parties.. Plus to bve fair to them all the re costs come from there own pockets. Your lawyer (or their representative) should meet you straight after first appointment - we just met ours at the McDonalds for coffee at HDB hub straight after... she provided all the paperwork for signing (eg. their engagement, CPF authorizations - if you&amp;#39;re using CPF to contibute to funds or mortgage repayments) and a full payment schedule... the schedule saw us paying for stamp duty and some other smaller fees within about 2 weeks later. Then the balance of monies about a couple of weeks after that again - I&amp;#39;m going from memory here (don&amp;#39;t have my paperwork with me)... the only fees you need to pay at the first appointment should be the estate agents fee.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;In short, the schedule of payments provided by the lawyer is one of the (very important) tasks they will definitely do for you and should be given to you straight after first appointment.
